I couldn’;t stop myself and had to try scrapbooking on the cardboard.It’;s perfect for some mixed media fun: it has a texture on its owncustomized gifts for her, takes wet media like nothing else and doesn’;t warp!!!In one word –; AWESOME!

Now all you need to do is…; frame it!

I thought cards…; yeah, why not!I decided to try one base cardboard in 3 different ways…;

Random spray with a glimmer mist, Architextures Tall Base and a couple of stickers that match the theme –; that’;s all you need to make an arty looking card.

With no wet media –; using 3 Architextures products: fussy cut rub-on hand, alphas from the Stash Paque and a tea cup from Trinkets. Still pretty cool, right?!

This time, I sprayed some serious colour on the top half of the base, covered the bottom part with a torn off American Vintage paper and added a vintage bicycle from Architextures Treasures. Alphas from the Stash Paque turned the card into a nice message to someone you’;ve missed.

I also wanted to try the cardboard for something more…; dark and grungy.First thing to do was to create a ‘;dirty’; base –; Naturally Aged Kit Peeled Paint was perfect for that.Despite layers and layers of paint, you can still see the screen printed circles underneath.It’;s heaven!!!

I didn’;t want to cover the base too much so I added stamping around the area I was going to work on, then Short Base Wings overplayed with Colour Washed MDF wings.

That was a perfect! perfect! surrounding for a slightly creepy face and loads of little clusters of black and green mini-stones.

Not too bad for a simple 12×;12 piece of cardboard!!!

Though the calendar tells us otherwise, it’s hard to believe it’s time to put away our summer things and start getting ready for fall. But as the many-hued leaves remind us, there’s no time like the present to strap on your gardening gloves and grab your shovels, rakes, and trimmers. To make outdoor chores that much easier, we’ve put together this guide on how to prep your yard and garden for fall, over the next few weekends.

From time to time we like to invite one of our followers to be a?Guest Designer for a month and in May our Challenge prize was to be our Guest Designer in June. ?Hina Mirza was our winner and today we want to introduce you to this great source of inspiration. Scrapbooking is definitely one of the craft forms that?doesn’t seem to be losing its popularity – most probably, that’s because it’s an arty way of keeping memories alive. Whether they’re traditional and 100% paper based or more elaborate and mixed media – scrap layouts tend to be personal and filled with individual references and messages.?Jennie Thompson?played with Canvas Corp Brands products to create a layout celebrating her joining our Creative Crew. As a twist, she not only used Architextures short base but also altered it so that it looked like a real old and rusty piece of metal.
